Job Title: Conservation and Outreach Coordinator

Job Description:

Our PFWCK non-profit organization is seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of Conservation and Outreach Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating awareness among students towards the conservation of forest and wildlife in our state. Additionally, they will lead students in ecotourism activities, write project proposals, and foster partnerships with the corporate sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities in schools and colleges to raise awareness about forest and wildlife conservation.
  • Lead students in ecotourism initiatives to promote environmental education and conservation efforts.
  • Write compelling project proposals to secure funding for conservation projects.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with corporate entities to support the organization’s mission.
  • Travel to meet with dignitaries and stakeholders to discuss potential collaborations and fundraising opportunities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for data management and report writing.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English to engage with stakeholders and the public.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to guide organizational initiatives and motivate team members.
  • Facilitate organizational meetings to coordinate efforts and address conservation-related issues.
  • Provide training and mentorship to newly hired workers and volunteers to ensure effective implementation of conservation programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, conservation biology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in conservation outreach, ecotourism, and project proposal writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successful team management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for data analysis and report generation.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
