People for Forest and Wildlife Conservation of Karnataka (PFWCK) has made a strategic priority of building awareness about conservation of state wildlife and forests among school children. This initiative aims to educate and inspire the next generation to become environmentally conscious and responsible stewards of our natural heritage.

Key Achievements:

  1. Collaboration with District Education Officers: PFWCK met with District Education Officers, who extended their support and sent a message to all schools under the Chamarajanagara district, encouraging participation in conservation awareness campaigns.
  2. School Awareness Campaigns: PFWCK’s team met with School Headmasters and implemented awareness campaigns for students, introducing them to the PFWCK online Kiddos program, designed to engage students in environmental conservation.
  3. Online Kiddos Program: Launched to make students more engaged, the program now has Kannada-speaking kids participating from abroad, promoting global environmental awareness.
  4. Wall Clock Distribution: Wall clocks with pictures of wildlife were distributed to schools, serving as a constant reminder to students of the importance of conservation and the urgent need to protect wildlife from extinction.
  5. Ecotourism and Activities: PFWCK organizes ecotourism trips for children and conducts activities like wildlife quiz competitions, painting, speech competitions, and more, fostering hands-on learning and enthusiasm for conservation.
